SOUTHAMPTON  VILLAGE - A QUAINT VILLAGE

The April 1, 2000 census shows Southampton Village with a year-round population of 3,965.  Based on the number of electric meters, the Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) on January 1, 2007 estimated the year-round village population at 4,109.  This compares to the total year-round population of the Town of Southampton of 48,505 and 49,282 respectively.

In the summer the Village's population expands to around 35,000, including Forbes 400 members, dignitaries, and celebrities.
