We live here, we work here, and we give back to our community
Paul is a former Village Trustee and served as Deputy Mayor, Chair of the Village Board of Assessment Review, and Commissioners of the local Fire Department and Ambulance Corps. Continuing to support our community, we donate 10% of our commission to a local charity every time we facilitate a real estate purchase or sale.
Our “10% to Charity” campaign is something we are both very excited about as a way to support our community. The program works like this:
According to Suffolk Research Services, the median sale price of a single family home in Southampton Village for 2011 was about $2.5M ($2,505,000 to be exact.)
$2.5 X 3% (the “typical” buying or selling side of the real estate agency commission) = $75,000
10% of $75,000 = $7,500 to a local charity
If we handle both sides of the sale, then there is $15,000 to charity!
Some of the local organizations we have given to in the past include Southampton Village Volunteer Ambulance, Southampton Fire Department, Village of Southampton Commission on Veterans Patriotic Events, Human Resources of the Hamptons, African American Museum of the East End, NAACP, Bridgehampton Child Care & Recreational Center, Southampton Historical Museum, Southampton Cultural Center, Wines Foundation, Village Improvement Association of Southampton, Christmas Decoration Committee, Lake Agawam Association, and local houses of worship.
